Pull back the curtains. No! Bad! The sun is angry. It burns you when you try to look
at it. Why is the sun so angry?

It knows. It knows what you did, and you don’t even remember doing it.

Pull back the curtains. Your fingers are burning as you press them to the glass. You
try to apologize, you don’t want the sun to be mad anymore. You flinch away at the pain
and the curtains fall back into place. “It hurts!” you scream, but there is no one there
except the voices.

They tell you that you’ve been bad, that you deserve this. “Why?” you ask the pixies,
the stars, the moon. No answer.

You don’t even know where you are, it’s all the same anyway. In the back of your mind
you hear a strong voice, screaming at you. “What have you done?” it yells. You want to
answer, but you don't know what to say. You would if you did.

Pull back the curtains. Stop being so lost, it weakens you – at some subconscious level
you know that. You hear the sun whisper your name and you look up at it through the
window. You feel your eyes searing as you watch the big flame.

Startled by the hatred you saw, you move away from the window. The curtains blocking the
light once more. You hurt so much that you try to scratch the skin away. You stop.
Look at the room you’re in. Where are you? That doesn't matter. Why are you lost? That
does matter, but you don’t know the answer. Why?

You want the voices to stop yelling, you want the quiet.

Pull back the curtains.
