Ah, the joy of Twinkies! They have absolutely no real nutritional qualities, they have a shelf life of roughly several hundred years, and their actual flavor is something that can't really be identified. If you don't feel like copying Xander and stuffing the entire thing in your mouth, then you might give this option a try. I'm absolutely certain the Xanman would approve.
1 package of Twinkies
2 scoops of whatever ice cream you please (same flavor or two different flavors)
Chocolate syrup, to taste
Strawberry syrup, to taste
Whipped cream, to taste
Multi-color sprinkles, to taste
1 chocolate covered strawberry, optional
1. Wrestle open the Twinkie package and put the two Twinkies into a banana split bowl or any other bowl that will accommodate them. Arrange them lengthwise so they resemble one big banana.
2. Slice the Twinkies lengthwise.
3. Put however much chocolate syrup you'd like to use in a coffee mug and heat it in the microwave on high for about 15 seconds. Microwaves do vary. Make it hot enough to be pleasantly warm but not hot enough to strip the skin off the roof of your mouth.
4. Put the two scoops of ice cream on top of the Twinkies, one on each split Twinkie.
5. Pour the heated chocolate syrup and strawberry syrup over the ice cream.
6. Squirt on as much whipped cream as you want.
7. Sprinkle on those colorful, happy sprinkles.
8. Personally, I hate cherries on my ice cream, so I avoid them, but if you want to stick one on top, hey, knock yourself out, or you could stick a chocolate covered strawberry on top.
